Contact verification

Upload a spreadsheet. Get graded results with their evidence.

UTe1 checks your contact records against public sources.

UTe1 is a review service for authorized teams. Upload a spreadsheet of records and UTe1 compares each one with public information. Every record comes back with a grade, a reason and, where one is found, a source link. Your team decides with the evidence in front of it.

What goes in.

Upload a CSV or XLSX file that follows the UTe1 template. Download the template. Full Name is needed for a record to be checked. Every other field is optional, and each one you add gives the check more to compare.

One file can hold up to 300 records and be up to 5 MB. A record without a usable name is not checked and does not use a Review Credit.

What each grade means.

Every record receives one grade, and the reason for it is written beside it in the Result file.

  • Full match

A public page agrees on the name and on the other details you supplied, such as employer and city.

  • Likely match

The name and the main details agree, but one detail differs or can't be confirmed.

  • Possible match

The name agrees and little else does. Treat it as a lead, not as confirmation.

  • Not found

No reliable public page was found. This does not mean the person does not exist.

If a check can't be completed, the record is marked Technical issue and does not use a Review Credit. Full match and Likely match are leads to check at the source, not proof of identity.

Verify a Result.

Every Result file is sealed when UTe1 issues it. Use this check on any file that has been shared or stored, to confirm nothing has changed. It runs in your browser. Only the reference, the date and a few short codes are sent to UTe1. Names, contact details and findings never leave your computer.

Genuine means the findings are unchanged since UTe1 issued the file. It does not prove a public source is correct. CSV files and files without an Integrity sheet can't be checked.
